Food was tasty - we had the spicy sauerkraut fish and boiled beef and those were flavorful. They definitely could've been more generous with portion sizing though, especially for the sides like the glass potato noodles as we didn't find that many in our stew. Ambience can be a little chaotic if you get there during peak lunch hours but I liked that they do supply baby high chairs for families dining in.

We arrived at midday on a Sunday, and it wasn't packed. Ordering was easy via QR code, and the staff members were very friendly. We decided to share a large old sauerkraut pot, and it was terrific. Full of flavor and plenty of tender pieces of fish. We loved how the rice soaked up all of the broth. So good. Best of all, we left full but not stuffed. We'll be back, for sure. Next time, I want to try the snakehead fish.

Neat little place just off DeAnza, kinda near the 99Ranch plaza but across the street. Parking little tight for lunch. Some people parking out on the street side. Inside it's pretty cute, bright, colorful. Service was quick, friendly, helpful. Food was out quickly after ordering, maybe 10 min or so for 1st dish. Another 10 for next and another 5 for the main soup dish. -Classic crispy coated chicken tenders- just ok. Seems like real chicken, just fried. Coating little crunchy. Good with ketchup or by themselves.3/5 -Pumpkin cakes- cute, fried, kinda pumpkin-ey. Very heavy on the rice but decent flavor. Would order again, 4/5. -Old pot sauerkraut fish soup large- 5/5. Worth going by itself. Flavor is super-nice. Warm spicy flavor but not super spicy. Could eat this 2-3 times per week no problem. Decent amount of fish. Had tofu, cabbage and small mushrooms added. All just great. For 2 people, this was maybe not quite enough food with our other dishes. If we didn't get the other items I could have ate a large by myself. Next time I will just get the fish soup and hold off on the other items. Like the free rice. The store I guess tells you not to eat too much rice with the soup, and that is probably true. If you need to kill spicy, maybe bring a milk with you. This will be a new go-to place to take people from out of town. Not that big inside, but the fish soups are really nice!

Orange! The check in process used a tablet to put your name and number. They have contactless ordering via a QR code on your table. Interior theme is orange like very modern & good AC. Has bathrooms. The menu has lots of FISH, Duck and beef hotpot options already cooked ready to go. We got the large pot and shared amongst the two of us and had plenty of food. This was surprisingly the cleanest hot pot of this nature I've had! Fish soup from 99 ranch and haidilao and easterly were all oilier or saltier I was surprised the food was good and not too oily for a sour fish hotpot. The salty level was good not too crazy. The service was prompt and no frills, you do have to go up to the counter to pay afterwards which is a bit less convenient.

Wei's Fish is a delicious option for sauerkraut fish with the added perks of: super strong AC, fast service, and great value for the area (less than 20 dollars per person after tax and tip for a sit down restaurant in South Bay!). There's a small lot in front of the restaurant that I can see filling up rather quickly. I went on a Saturday right at noon and there were still about 30-40% of the tables available, but by 12:30 there was a line out the door. Note: the Refreshing Lemon soup option is apparently unavailable during the summer. Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish Soup w/ Snakehead Fish (4.5/5): I got a large and it was perfect for two people. I highly recommend upgrading the fish as the snakehead is super delicate and tender. The flavors of the broth are exactly what you want: very sour and spicy, perfectly seasoned. It comes with two bowls of rice, which perfectly mellows all those strong flavors. Brown Sugar Cake (4/5): This has the texture of fried mochi with brown sugar syrup on top and it's not the best I've ever had, but certainly hits the spot.

The fish soup here reminds me of my visit in Shanghai few years ago. The taste is very authentic, place is clean, and staff is very nice. The broth is flavorful and has some kick from the mala, fish is fresh and so soft, and they have unlimited rice! Totally recommend this place

This place is pretty inexpensive if you're splitting the bill. Rice is included but you will get charged if you don't eat/waste the rice. Food comes out pretty fast. Check them out if you're craving something light that won't weigh you down.

I would say the place acts as the niche for the traditional spicy fish soup in the area. I've personally never seen something so interesting as a fruit soup base for Chinese fish soup, so I jumped at the opportunity to try it. Ordering is done through QR code, and every soup comes with a bowl of rice. Be warned, they state that unfinished rice results in extra charges, but I'm unsure how much they police this. Taste wise, the soup gave an ample amount of fish as well as the selected additions (tofu and tofu skin). It was a very filling meal, and the broth was flavorful yet light to the point that I didn't feel sluggish after the meal. The service is very quick and attentive despite the restaurant having been super busy when we went.

The food is So yummy!! But there really isn't a lot of food in each dish. I would say each fish dish is good for 1.5 person. Also although it is advertised that you get side dish for each large dish. They really meant that u get side dish for each FISH dish. Staff is very friendly and the ambiance is very busy and popping! Would recommend
